Professionals & Educators |
Many of our students are therapists, psychologists, social workers, attorneys, doctors, coaches, educators, parents and other adults interested in pursuing a career as an ADD Coach.
Many of our graduates become full or part-time ADD Coaches; some become ADHD advocates, while others are interested in helping themselves or family members with their own ADHD challenges.
What Physicians are saying....
I really love my ADHD practice but realized that there was more to helping my clients than just medication, even though that is an important part. I chose the ADD Coach Academy to learn how I could better serve my clients to help them 'move forward' in their lives once they have been properly diagnosed and given the right medical treatment.
The ADD Coach Academy met and exceeded my expectations. You learn the fundamentals of coaching throughout the curriculum and learn to apply those principles in real-life coaching situations. And there is plenty of chance to practice those skills.
I have used the coaching skills I have learned not only in a coaching situation, but in the course of my daily practice with good results. I have seen adults with ADHD learn more about themselves through the coaching sessions and become more empowered to reach goals and fulfill dreams that they never thought could be possible.
I highly recommend the ADD Coach Academy to anyone whose passion is to learn how to most effectively be a personal coach. No matter how you plan to specialize with coaching, ADDCA gives you what you need to know to begin your career.

What Educators are saying....
As a former special education teacher and Orton-Gillingham tutor, I was seeking a program that worked one-on-one with individuals with ADHD. I was interested in providing support for individuals with Attention Deficit. At first I was apprehensive about the teleclass, but quickly realized how convenient it was for me to participate from my home, office and sometimes my car. The interaction during class was interesting and I always felt like my questions and/or input was welcomed and honored. The personal growth I have felt from taking this class has truly made a huge impact on my life. As I pay more attention to my own strengths, I feel better equipped to listen and look for strengths in others.
I had the good fortune of taking this class with a remarkable group of individuals. David Giwerc (it took me 3 months to learn how to pronounce his name) is an awesome instructor! He is encouraging, funny, loving, supportive and he teaches with such a passion! This is an experience I will take with me for a lifetime.
This is the best commitment I ever made to myself. Whether working with students, young adults or adults, this class will bring greater insight into the powerful impact coaching can provide. I look forward to helping others uncover their gifts and talents and become more aware of the strengths they have to offer.

What social workers are saying...
I had completed my Masters of Social Work, became licensed in Illinois and had studied countless hours to learn all I could about ADHD. I can say however, that all the studying I had done as well as learning all the theories and therapy strategies in graduate school, did not prepare me as well as what I learned in my ADD Coach Academy Program. It really opened my eyes as well to see how inadequately the therapeutic world was prepared to work with those of us diagnosed with ADHD.
Thanks to the ADD Coach Academy I have been able to finally “live up to my full potential” and utilize the strengths and talents that were locked inside for so many years. If it weren’t for the ADDCA training, my personal and professional life would be more chaotic. Thanks for the clarity!

What therapists are saying:
I have been a psychotherapist and coach and it appeared to me that people with ADHD are not always treated either with respect or knowledge. It seems that many coaches who are not trained specifically for ADHD coaching will not be able to receive nor listen to a potentially client properly. I also began developing a great relationship with David Giwerc at the ICF Conference in 2005 and trusted that he would have an excellent program.
My expectations have been met. The program is wonderful both in coaching and in the substantive area of ADHD. As a person who does NOT have a diagnosis of ADHD it is instructive listening and interacting with people who do. Its to important for a coaching professional to understand the clientele they are working with.
One of the most wonderful things of the ADD Coach Academy is that we have practice time. I practice coaching every week with a buddy coach and we apply the principles and theories that we have learned in class. I have also used the theories learned to approach new clients.
When you think of coaching clients who have some degree of ADHD there is no better place to train than the ADD Coach Academy. After one phone class you know the passion about the subject and coaching that David Giwerc demonstrates. He makes everyone in the class right, actively listens, and brings out the students who want to ask questions but are concerned about asking questions. I know that I have learned a great deal that supplements my understanding of ADHD in both theory and practice. I thoroughly endorse the methods of teaching and the quality of the materials and the instruction.
